How the beginner teachers performed at the final exam. 33 ended with average 10. Where were the best results

The Ministry of Education and Research released on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the initial results obtained by the beginner teachers who took the tests of the final exam. 33 of the candidates finished the exam with 10.

The promotion of this exam is necessary to climb the didactic hierarchy, being the first step. After the finalization in education, the exams for the didactic grades II and I. follow the exams.

The rate of participation in the final exam was 96.41%, being present in the written test 9,169 candidates out of the total 9,510 candidates with the right to participate. The exam was held at 97 disciplines, in 42 examination centers organized at national level (one center in each county). Of these, 311 candidates (3.39%) withdrew, 8 candidates were eliminated for fraud attempt, and the work of a candidate was canceled during the evaluation period for non-observance of the methodological provisions in terms of writing (distinctive signs).

The evaluating teachers corrected 8,849 works. Of these, the works of 6,111 candidates received notes between 7 and 10 (40 candidates were noted with 10, with fewer marks than last year, and 402 candidates registered notes in 9.50 – 9.99). The works of 622 candidates received grades below 5.

By virtue of these results, 5,784 teachers (65.36%) passed the exam and, implicitly, obtained the finalization in education (among them, 33 teachers passed the exam with average 10). The promoted teachers acquire the right to practice in pre -university education ”, the Ministry of Education and Research states.

During the completion exam in education, the result of the written test has a share of 70% in the final graduation average. In order to be promoted, a candidate must obtain a minimum of the average 8, calculated as a weighted average of the notes in all the exams, including the written test.

The registration for the final examination in education is allowed to the candidates who cumulatively fulfill three conditions: to have a teaching internship for at least one year, to have the “good” or “very good” qualification for the current school year and to have at least the average of the average of the notes, the respective evidence.

Dissatisfied candidates of notes can file appeals at the examination centers, on July 15, 2025 until 20.00, and on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, until 12.00. The appeals can also be transmitted by e-mail, using the e-mail addresses displayed in the examination centers on the day of the written test, MEC states.

The final results are displayed in the examination centers and on the dedicated web page on July 21 and will be validated by order of the minister between July 24 and August 1425.

The results obtained by the candidates this year are weaker than last year, when after resolving the appeals it reached 76.45% of average rate of at least 8.

Performance by counties

The highest promotion rate for the final exam in education 2025, before appeals, was registered in Iași county – 74.3%, county followed by Gorj – 74.1%and Maramureș – 73.3%. At the opposite pole, the weakest results were registered in: Caraș -Severin – 48.6%, Sălaj – 50%and Calarasi – 50%.

Most average of 10 have obtained the candidates from: Bucharest – 7 (of the total of 33 at national level), Cluj – 5 and Timiș- 4. Most of the averages between 9.50 and 9.99 were also registered in Bucharest – 133, followed by Iași – 56 and Cluj – 44.
