Two more hospitals included in the national network treating critically ill patients with severe injuries. Minister of Health: “In trauma, time means life”

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Thursday, April 8, the expansion of the national network for the treatment of critical patients with acute traumatic injuries (AP-TRAUMA), by including two more medical units. It is about Brașov County Emergency Clinical Hospital and Dr. Constantin Andreoiu Ploiești County Emergency Hospital, so the network reaches a total of 24 hospitals nationwide.

The announcement was made in a Facebook post, where the minister emphasized the importance of developing a more efficient medical system in managing emergencies.

“We continue to build a health system that responds faster, more coordinated and more efficiently where every minute makes a difference. We approved the expansion of the national network for the treatment of critical patients with acute traumatic injuries (AP-TRAUMA), part of the national program of funding through priority actions dedicated to wards that treat polytrauma patients, with two more hospitals.” Alexandru Rogobete sent.

The minister also explained why this expansion is essential: “Why is this step important? Because in trauma, time is life. And the difference between a fragmented and a networked system means real chances for the patient.”

According to him, the inclusion of the new units in the program will help improve access and the quality of the medical act.

“Through this expansion: we increase rapid access to specialized services, ensure coordinated interventions between hospitals, raise treatment standards for critically ill patients”said the minister.

The Minister of Health stated that recent discussions with doctors in these units highlighted the need for organization and resources: “I recently spoke with doctors in such facilities and they told me one simple thing: when there is organization and resources, teams can do more, faster and safer for the patient.”

In the end, Alexandru Rogobete emphasized that the development of the network is a lasting process, but essential for saving lives.

“This is what we are building now: a system that does not react chaotically, but works in an integrated manner. It is not a process that is completed overnight. But each new unit is an extra link in a chain that saves lives. Trust is good for us!”the minister said at the end.
