The objects that were found in almost every Romanian home, in the 70s and 80s, began to be seen with different eyes, 35 years after the Revolution.
Porcelain trinkets, produced at Curtea de Argeş, led by the ever-present glass fish, have almost completely disappeared from homes, but on classifieds sites the famous colored glass fish, whose place was almost without exception on television, the object costs between 100 and 500 lei.
The trinket fish is made of Murano glass.
“Murano glass from Italy has been famous for centuries for its appearance, elegance and beauty. And each piece of Murano glass can bring with it history and enchanting beauty to your homes, being one of the most prized types of glass when it comes to decorations or jewelry. To process Murano glass you need a mixture of 70% sand and 30% other substances that must contain nitrates, arsenic, limestone and silicon. The essential factor for obtaining the perfect finished product is the temperature, which, if it does not reach the optimal value, can compromise the clarity of the glass”writes antena3.ro.
