Immediately after the scandal broke, OpenAI announced that it would remove one of the voices used by ChatGPT after it was compared to Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson.
Meanwhile, Musk compared using a voice for ChatGPT “eerily similar” with Johansson's with a script from the dystopian TV series “Black Mirror,” reports Business Insider.
The actress slammed OpenAI, saying she turned down Sam Altman's offer to voice the chatbot.
“Black Mirror in real life,” Musk wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a post about the controversy.
Holy crap it's happening… Scarlett Johansson claims Sam Altman contacted her about using her voice but she declined! And she believed they used it anyway”When I heard the released demo, I was shocked, angered and in disbelief that Mr. Altman would pursue a voice that sounded… pic.twitter.com/E5iIHxn3p6

The billionaire is known for his rivalry with Altman and OpenAI. Musk was one of the founding members of the artificial intelligence company, before leaving his position on OpenAI's board of directors in 2018.
Since then, the Tesla CEO has become a frequent critic of OpenAI and its CEO, filing a lawsuit against Altman and OpenAI earlier this year. Musk accuses the company of betraying its original mission to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI) responsibly.
Musk launched his own artificial intelligence company, xAI, and created Grok, a rival to ChatGPT.
In a statement to Business Insider, Altman apologized to Johansson for not communicating better with her about the matter, but reiterated that Sky's voice was not intended to imitate hers.
