College, paid internship and job at the end. How dual university studies work at Kaufland

41 places, three specializations, monthly scholarship throughout the studies and a prepared job at the end. For the academic year 2026-2027, Kaufland Romania opens registrations for the dual study programs developed alongside the “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia.

After finishing high school, choosing a college comes with a question that few have an answer to before admission: what will I actually do after I graduate? For those entering a dual degree program, the answer begins to emerge in the very first year. Instead of accumulating work experience after graduation, students build it alongside their academic training in the company’s stores and logistics centers.

Kaufland is one of the most active private partners of dual university education in Romania. After a successful first year with the Operational Logistics program, the company is expanding the collaboration and opening, for the academic year 2026-2027, two more specializations, with a total of 41 places available in the three programs:

Management in Retail – the only undergraduate program of this kind in Romania, with 30 places, 3 years.

Operational Logistics – 7 places, 3 years, dedicated to the Kaufland Logistics Center in Turda.

Robotics and Automation – 4 places, 4 years, dedicated to the Logistics Center.

Half of the time is dedicated to courses at the university, and the other half to practice in company locations. Students receive a monthly scholarship for the entire duration of their studies, 12 months a year: 1,500 lei for Operational Logistics and Retail Management, 2,000 lei for Robotics and Automation. Those who practice at the Logistic Center in Turda benefit from transportation and meals on the days of attendance, and students who choose the specialization Management in Retail have the opportunity to practice in stores in their home town, where this is possible.

Years of study are recognized as professional experience. At the end, graduates can occupy roles such as Deputy Manager or Store Manager, respectively Specialist or Manager in Logistics, in areas such as Operational, Transport or Technical.

“The growing interest of young people towards dual study programs has led us to expand the educational offer, in partnership with the “1 Decembrie 1918″ University in Alba Iulia, to other specializations as well. This development follows positive feedback from our students and colleagues and gives us confidence that it can be a successful model, useful for young people, but also for us as an employer involved in the development of future professionals.” declares Estera Anghelescu, Director of Recruitment & Employer Branding, Kaufland Romania.

More details about registration can be found on www.cariere.kaufland.ro. The first admission session at the “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia takes place between July 6-16, 2026.
