Craiova University was defeated by CFR Cluj with a score of 1-0 (0-0), on Thursday evening, at home, in a game from the sixth stage of the play-off phase of the football Superleague.

The only goal of the game was scored by Daniel Bîrligea (71), three minutes after the restart, after a pass by Panagiotis Tachtsidis, who took advantage of the apathy of the Craiova defense and saved a ball that went out of the goal.

The university lost its third consecutive match at home, after the ones with Farul Constanţa (1-2, in the Superliga) and Oţelul Galaţi (0-1, in the Romanian Cup).

CFR Cluj obtained only its second victory in the play-off, both away.

In the regular season, in the direct matches, the University drew in Cluj-Napoca (1-1) and won 1-0 in Bănie, and in the play-off it won 2-1 in Cluj-Napoca, now losing at home ( 0-1).
