The MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio is the first AI laptop to reach us, among those launched at CES 2024, but being an MVT (Minimum Viable Test) unit and not a final product, the most attractive part is not yet available for testing .

I'm just going to present the product, specs and first impressions.
The MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio is a laptop for content creators and is part of the latest range of AI laptops with NPU (Neural Processing Unit) built into the Intel Core Ultra processor.
Construction and specifications
The laptop has a dark gray (Stellar Gray) aluminum case with a matte finish and an interesting hinge that gives it a fluid look. It's slim, with a profile of 18.95 mm, and relatively light, weighing 1.7 kg without charger. The overall dimensions are 313.4 x 246.5 x 18.95 mm.
Here is the unboxing of the laptop, in the received box there was only the PC, the charger and a specification sheet.
The MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio has an illuminated keyboard with regular-sized keys, placed in a “metal valley” with an elegant appearance. The keys are large, have medium travel and the adjustment is instant. The touchpad is large, responsive, and does well in basic tasks, but I'd still put a mouse on it.

The screen has thin bezels on the sides and thicker top and bottom, with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The OLED panel stands out from the first switch on thanks to the brightness of 400 nits, the HDR 500 standard and the QHD+ or 2.8K (2880 x 1800) resolution. It has a full range of colors, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz.
Inside, it comes equipped with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 165H processor and Intel® Evo™ Edition technology, along with the MSI AI engine, an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060 graphics processor, 32GB of DDR5 memory, SSD storage M. 2 (NVMe PCIe Gen4) of 1TB and Windows 11 SV2 operating system.
On the wireless connectivity side, the MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio is compatible with Wi-Fi 7 offering a theoretical speed of almost 5.8 Gbps. For wired connection it has RJ45 Gigabit port and if I got here, here they all are:
– 1x USBC (USB / DP / Thunderbolt™ 4) with PD3.1 charging;
– 1x USBC (USB3.2 Gen2 / DP) with PD charging
– 1x USBA USB3.2 Gen2
– 1x HDMI™ 2.1 (8K @ 60Hz / 4K @ 120Hz)
– Common 3.5 mm jack for headset and microphone.
For conferences, it has an infrared (IR) camera with FHD/30fps resolution and HDR3D Noise Reduction+ (3DNR+).
On the security side, MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio has:
– fingerprint and face authentication via Windows Hello;
– Trusted Platform Module (dTPM) 2.0;
– Firmware Trusted Platform Module (fTPM) 2.0;
– mechanical possibility of covering the room;
– Kensington Lock.
Dedicated AI
There was a lot of hype at CES, there was almost no release that didn't talk about artificial intelligence. In this chapter, MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio brings an integrated NPU, dedicated to AI programs. In addition, MSI's AI engine automatically adjusts hardware settings to achieve the best performance, and features such as AI Noise Cancellation Pro and Spatial Array Microphone ensure clear sound quality even in noisy environments.
The laptop has a 4-cell, 90Whr battery, fast charging technology up to 140W and MSI says it has up to 16 hours of battery life.
At the time of publication, no official pricing has been announced for the MSI Prestige 14 AI Studio.
