The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced the dismissal of the management of the Neamț Public Health Directorate, after it blocked the approval of a project for a new body of the County Hospital and requested the elimination of the radiotherapy laboratory.

“The explanation? One of the night of the mind: the fact that, until the completion of the works, a second private radiotherapy clinic in Piatra Neamț would be used”, Minister Alexandru Rogobete said.
The decision of DSP Neamț surprised the management of the hospital and the county authorities, explaining the elimination of the radiotherapy laboratory by the fact that, until the completion of the works, a private radiotherapy clinic in Piatra Neamț would be opened.
Minister Rogobete has listed this explanation as unacceptable and emphasized the importance of developing public services: “It is intolerable to prevent the development of public hospitals. The interest of patients and the protection of medical personnel are priority towards administrative or private interests.”
The official added that the role of the authorities is not to block medical projects, but to increase the capacity of the public health system: “Our role is not to block the development of medical services, but to offer patients safety, treatment and hope.”
The dismissal order of DSP Neamț will be signed immediately, and the project for the radiotherapy laboratory will be resumed without delay.
“There is no justification! There is no reply! Mr. Executive Director DSP Neamț, thank you for the activity submitted, but from today our roads are separated. Tomorrow at the first hour I will sign the order for the dismissal of the DSP Neamț. It is intolerable! and to offer patients safety, treatment and hope. In my mandate, the interest of patients and the protection of medical staff will always be above administrative or private interests ”Rogobete said.
