The past year has been a busy one for the royal family. Kate returns to official events after starting her battle with cancer. She was joined by her husband, the Prince of Wales, and the King at the Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance on Saturday evening, November 9, writes The Telegraph.

The princess was dressed in the elegant and simple style that characterizes her. She wore a black dress, heels, pearl earrings, her signature engagement ring, among other accessories. Kate was all smiles throughout the event, alongside her husband, the Prince of Wales, and King Charles. They were not accompanied by the Queen, who is still recovering from a lung infection.

The royals were joined by Prime Minister Kier Starmer and Defense Secretary John Healey.

The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance is an event held at the Royal Albert Hall. It celebrates and commemorates the Armed Forces and the sacrifices of soldiers and their families.

In 2024, the festival marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, with additional focus on Kosovo, 25 years since the deployment of NATO’s peacekeeping force, and Afghanistan, ten years since the end of Operation Herrick.

The Princess of Wales will also attend the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph, London, on Sunday and watch the ceremony from a balcony overlooking the monument.
