Jaqueline Cristian lost in the first round at Roland Garos the match with Jelena Ostapenko, the tenth player in the world, but also the winner in 2017.
the Romanian player lost in two sets, 6-4 and 7-5, a match that she approached quite emotionally.
In the first set, Cristian led 4-2, but his opponent won four games in a row and prevailed 6-4 after 43 minutes.
And in the second set Jaqueline started well, leading 3-1, and just like in the first set she inexplicably lost. Ostapenko made a fabulous comeback taking the match to 5-3. The Romanian showed signs of a comeback, when she equalized at 5, but the player from Leta prevailed in the end with 7-5.
