Heartwarming Father's Day message for Prince William: His kids tweet 'We love you Papa'

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis posted a Father's Day tribute to their father Prince William in their first social media post.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis tweeted 'We love you Papa'

The post states: “We love you, Papa. Happy Father's Day,” followed by two red hearts and signed “G, C & L,” according to the BBC.

In the photo, taken by Catherine, Princess of Wales, William can be seen sitting on a beach with his arms around his children, looking out to sea.

Kensington Palace said the photo was taken during a trip to the Norfolk coast last month.

This marks the first time a personal message from the prince's three children has been posted on the family's social media accounts.

Earlier on Sunday, William posted his own Father's Day tribute to his father, King Charles III.

The prince shared a photo of himself as a child playing football with the king in the gardens of Kensington Palace.

Taken on June 12, 1984, the then nearly two-year-old prince can be seen smiling as he kicks a brightly colored soccer ball.

A few months after the photo was taken, William's younger brother – the Duke of Sussex – would be born.

The post is personally signed by the prince, with the caption: “Happy Father's Day, Dadah”.

As well as marking Father's Day, it is also a possible nod to the England football team, who kick off their Euro 2024 campaign later on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Royal Family's X account has shared some archive footage of the King alongside his father, Prince Philip.

Sourced from the BFI National Archive and set to a piece of classical piano music, the video features black and white footage from when King Charles was a child.

One of them shows the king as a baby, being lifted from a pram by his father. In another, the two can be seen enjoying a boat trip.

The video is accompanied by a caption: “Wishing all dads and those who miss their parents a relaxing Father's Day today“. The king's father, Prince Philip, died in 2021.

The social media posts come a day after the annual Trooping the Color ceremony, which celebrates the monarch's official birthday.

It was Catherine's first public appearance this year as she receives chemotherapy treatment for cancer.

The King is also being treated for this illness and only returned to public duties at the end of April.

The royals were cheered by crowds in central London as they moved in their carriages from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.
