In the image, Swift, 34, sits alongside the three royals, extending her arm and smiling broadly as she holds up a phone to take a photo of the group. “Thank you @taylorswift for a great night! #LondonTSTheErastour”the caption of the post reads, people.com writes.
In a photo posted to her Instagram account, Swift shared a snap with Prince William, 42, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9 — as well as her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
“Happy Birthday M8! London shows off to a great start 🇬🇧🇺🇸”, the singer captioned her post, referencing Prince William’s birthday.
Prince William and his children, minus Prince Louis, watched the show at Wembley Stadium on the first night of the tournament. Six-year-old Prince Louis is likely to have stayed at home with mum Kate.
The Princess of Wales has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent months as she continues her cancer treatment. She recently made a special appearance on June 15 at Trooping the Colour, King Charles’ annual birthday celebration, marking her first public outing with the royal family since Christmas. However, the event did not mean a return to public life, with future engagements depending on when she feels fit and under the guidance of her medical team.
Swift was previously greeted in London by royal guards on June 21 when the band performed “Shake It Off” in front of Buckingham Palace.
Prince William has been linked to Swift in past years. In 2013, the prince was led on stage by the singer during a Centrepoint charity event at Kensington Palace where he joined Jon Bon Jovi for a performance of ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’.
The Prince of Wales later made his admiration for Swift known again at the 2023 Tusk Conservation Awards. According to Hello! magazine, the king referred to the pop star while talking to rocker Ronnie Wood about The Rolling Stones.
