Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu congratulated the Labor Party on its victory in the British elections. Social democracy is growing, said the prime minister who emphasized that Great Britain is a strategic partner for Romania and the home of thousands of Romanians.

“Congratulations to the Labor Party on its important victory. Social democracy is growing. Keir Starmer has proven to be an excellent leader and I am confident that we will work closely together. Great Britain is a strategic partner and the home of thousands of Romanians”, a sent by Marcel Ciolacu.

Labor won the UK general election. The Labor Party would have obtained 410 seats in the British Parliament, while the Conservatives only 131. Keir Starmer will be prime minister.

According to data provided by the exit poll carried out by IPSOS UK for the BBC, Sky News and ITV News, the Labor Party won 410 seats, well above the 326 required for a governing majority. Keir Starmer, the Labor leader and future Prime Minister of Great Britain, is a lawyer specializing in human rights.
