The 2024 Baccalaureate exam, the autumn session, continued today with the last written test, the one in Mother Tongue. The test started at 9:00 AM and ended at 12:00 PM. The subjects and the correction scales will be published on the website of the Ministry of Education at 15.00.

UPDATE 12.00. The last written test of the Fall 2024 Baccalaureate, the one in Mother Tongue, ended at 12:00 p.m. The subjects and the correction scales will be published at 15.00 on the website of the Ministry of Education. In this way, students will be able to calculate their grades.

UPDATE 9.00. The exam has started, the test for Mother Tongue. Students who belong to minorities in Romania will take the exam in Hungarian or German, Croatian, Italian, Serbian, Slovak, Ukrainian and the Romani language. The exam lasts three hours, and at the end the papers will be uploaded to an online platform and sent for correction to two evaluating teachers. It is the last written test of this 2024 Baccalaureate session.

The exam will start at 9:00 a.m. and students will be able to enter the classrooms until 8:30 a.m. The time for writing the topics for each written test is 180 minutes and is calculated immediately after the distribution of the topics to the candidates. The writing time can be extended by a maximum of two hours only in the case of candidates for whom this request has been approved, based on the provisions of Procedure no. 33576/31.10.2022 regarding ensuring equal opportunities for students with visual impairments, hearing impairments and neurodevelopmental disorders.

No student will leave the exam room with the subject sheet. This will be handed in with the work. After the work time expires, three students will remain in the room until the last work is scanned. Students are not required to stay in the exam hall until the completion of the three hours, but they cannot leave it earlier than one hour.

What rules must students follow in the exam hall

  • To solve the subjects, candidates for the Baccalaureate 2024 autumn session will use only blue ink or paste, and for the execution of schemes and drawings they will use only black pencil. For the written tests in Mathematics and Geography, candidates can only use drawing tools. In the written tests, the paper used is only the one distributed in the exam rooms.
  • It is forbidden to bring objects such as satchels, backpacks, bags, purses, etc. into the exam rooms. as well as any electronic means of calculation, information storage or communication (memory sticks, phones, tablets, etc.). Likewise, students are not allowed access to rooms with textbooks, dictionaries, notes, notes, etc.
  • Students are forbidden to communicate with each other or with the outside, to transmit or exchange sheets of paper, drafts, notes or other materials that could be used for solving subjects, for internal or external communication. Candidates caught in these situations will be removed from the exam, regardless of whether the prohibited materials/objects were used or not, regardless of whether they were introduced by them or other candidates, teaching staff from the committee or other persons, and regardless of whether they received or transmitted the prohibited materials. As a result, these candidates are no longer entitled to participate in the next two sessions of the baccalaureate exam.
  • During the tests, all exam rooms are under audio-video surveillance.

On the days when written tests are scheduled, the Ministry of Education makes available to those interested, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the TELVERDE line 0800 801 100 for reporting any malfunctions regarding the organization/conduct of the exam.

On August 26, the results of the written tests will be displayed (until 12:00 p.m.) and then, between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., students will be able to file appeals.

They will be resolved between August 27 and 29, 2024, and the final results will be displayed on August 30.

Almost 33,600 students registered for this fall session of the Baccalaureate – the fewest students in the last 20 years – and which began on August 8 with the skills tests.
