Football Europe, shaken: Manchester City crushed in the Champions League after a collection game

The Champions League, in the new format, turns out to be a competition full of surprises! Practically, since the phase with the group matches started, the results have flowed which, of course, ruined many betting tickets.

The trend continued on Tuesday, when the first matches of the 4th stage were played. Here, “bomb” evening was Sporting Lisbon – Manchester City. The game started with an English goal, through Foden (4), after which the Portuguese simply crushed Josep Guardiola’s great team. Sweden’s Viktor Gyökeres (26) scored the game of his life, scoring three times in the 38th, 49th and 80th minutes. And Maxi Araújo also scored in the 46th minute for an incredible 4-1 for Sporting Lisbon.

Also on Tuesday, another big surprise took place in Spain, at the Santiago Bernabeu. Here, Real Madrid was defeated by AC Milan, score 1-3. The Italians scored first, through Thiaw (12), but Vinicius equalized for Real from the penalty (23). Alvaro Morata (39) and Reijnders (73) set up the final score, bringing a big win for Milan.
