Without Cristina Neagu, Crina Pintea, Eliza Buceschi and Cristina Laslo, the national handball team played with all its heart against a team considered favourites, especially after Florentin Pera’s students failed in the last 5 training games. But today, on Romania’s Day, from 7:00 p.m., the first representative team has a much more difficult task in front of their opponents from Montenegro, who won their debut 24-18 against Serbia.

Victory takes us into the main groups

The match can be watched on DigiSport 2 and PrimaSport 2, after the match with the Czech Republic was broadcast on the first programs of those televisions. This time, the Premier League derby, Liverpool – Manchester City (18.00), took the face of the handball players.

The Romanian national team is part of Group B of the European Championship, along with the Czech Republic, Montenegro and Serbia. All games are played in the Fonix Arena in Debrecen, Hungary. The first two teams qualify for the main group stage, so the match with Montenegro becomes the most important for our girls. In case of victory, Florentin Pera’s team secures further access. In case of draw or defeat, Romania will have a hellish and decisive match on Tuesday against Serbia.
