Nicuşor Dan, about the government program launched by PSD, PNL, UDMR and minorities: “At first glance, it seems realistic”

The General Mayor of the Capital, Nicușor Dan, claims that the governing program launched by PSD, PNL, UDMR and minorities is one “realistic”and the fact that pro-European parties want to enter the government is a “signal of stability, for the economy and investors”.

“In the general context, I think it’s good that the pro-European parties want to enter the government, they gave a signal of stability, for the economy, for investors. I appreciate that it was very good that the parties did not start with the division of ministries, but started with the government program, the one I saw in a draft, at first glance it seems realistic. I didn’t understand and I don’t get very involved in the discussions between the parties, I would like them to communicate more on the program and it is legitimate for two parties to have different points of view, but to communicate those”declared Nicușor Dan, at a special edition of Observator.

Nicușor Dan announced his candidacy for the presidential elections the other day.

“We are in a buying moment, the most difficult moment that Romania has had after the Revolution. In the elections we just had, the Romanians said that it is no longer possible, that too much has been lied to, that the politicians are pretending to try to solve their problems. There is a need for a fundamental change in the way the state responds to citizens’ expectations. (…)I will run independently, I am open to discussions with pro-European parties to support this candidacy. There is a need for a president to ensure that the pro-reform direction that the parties enunciate these days is truly followed in their governmental activity”the mayor sent.
