During the debate organized, on Tuesday, by TVR at the Cotroceni Palace, the Plan candidate for the presidential elections, Silviu Predoiu, said that, in a complicated situation for the country, he would call on the US President Donald Trump, and to the Turkish leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Predoiu answered the question what are the three personalities outside Romania, which would call them if they had an important problem for the country.
“I start from the premise that I have to call abroad for help after I have exhausted all the internal resources and I have come to the conclusion that it is the only solution. As president you cannot call anyone, (…) As the president you have to call your counterpart and it seems important to be able to call the European Commission (…),” replied Silviu Predoiu, quoted by Agerpres.

The candidate of the National Action League party added that he would call on President Trump and Erdogan, specifying that,“It wouldn’t be bad” to have the phone of Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the agenda.
“I would be happy to have the agenda and have the opportunity to call the US president and I would have the President of Turkey. (…) It would not be bad to have on the agenda as president and the phone of China’s President“, Silviu Predoiu replied.
