Start at the National Assessment 2025. What students need to know about the evidence and appeals

About 159,000 students were registered to take the exams of the National Assessment exam in 2025. The first test takes place on Monday, June 23.

The National Assessment for the graduates of the eighth grade (EN VIII 2025) begins on Monday, June 23, with the written test in Romanian language and literature. The Ministry of Education and Research announces that, according to the data transmitted by the county school inspectorates, they were registered to take this exam. Over 159,000 graduates of the eighth grade. At the level of the whole country are organized 3,190 examination centers.

Visualization of works – in the presence of the parent

As with the 2025 baccalaureate, the candidates can request, and at the National Assessment 2025, visualization of work/work, in accordance with the provisions of the procedure established by the National Commission. “When visualizing the work/works, the minor candidate must be accompanied by a parent/legal representative. The submission of the appeals is not conditioned by the visualization of the works. To the same extent, the visualization of the works does not oblige the candidate to file an appeal”, emphasizes representatives of the ministry.

Students who submit/transmit appeals complement, sign and submit a type-type statement in which it is mentioned that they have become aware that the note given as a result of the resolution of the appeal can modify, as the case may be, the initial note, by growth or decrease. The documents are also signed by the parents/legal representatives of the minor students, the MEC states.

The communication of the results is done anonymized, by individual codes that replace the names and surnames, these codes being distributed to the students, based on a signature of receipt, at the first sustained test. The results are displayed both in the examination centers and on the website evaluare.edu.ro, respecting the General Regulation on the protection of personal data.

Access to the room, between 8.00 and 8.30

– Student access to exam centers is allowed between 8:00 am and 8:30. The distribution of the candidates on the halls is done in alphabetical order, at the level of the examination center.

The duration of the samples – 120 minutes

The average of admission, based on which the registration in the 9th grade of the graduates of the secondary education is carried out, is the general average for the national evaluation supported by the graduates of the eighth grade, calculated as arithmetic, with two decimals, without rounding, of the notes obtained from the evaluation.

The Ministry of Education and Research offers to those interested, as in the case of the 2025 baccalaureate examination, the line Telverde 0800801100 for notifying any malfunctions regarding the conduct of the national evaluation.

The number will be available in the days when the written tests take place, between 8:00 – 16:30 (Monday and Wednesday), respectively 8:00 – 14:00 (Friday).
