Activists of the Rebellion Exhibition Movement protested on Thursday in San Marco Square in Venice, even on the first day of billionaire Jeff Bezos.
The protest included two masked people in wedding costumes, symbolically linked to a false planet and other protesters holding banners with inscriptions “Governments”, “Mass-Media”, “Economy” and “Justice”according to Il Fatto Quotidiano, writes Mediafax.
However, the action was quickly concluded by law enforcement – Municipal Police, National Police and Soldiers – who forced all thirty participants. Most activists were detained for several hours at the Municipal Police headquarters in the market, while a smaller group was taken to the police station for identification and probably for charges of unauthorized manifestation.
Prior to the intervention of the authorities, one of the protesters managed to climb the mast in front of Saint Marc basilica and undo a banner with the message “The 1% ru (i) ns the world “(” 1% destroys the world “).
