The representatives of a travel agency claim that the demand for holidays in exotic destinations related to the wedding organization has increased.
“In recent years I have noticed a significant increase in interest in organizing weddings in exotic destinations, especially among couples who want a more intimate, personalized and special ceremony. The demand has increased by about 12% compared to previous years, as more and more Romanians choose to transform the wedding day into a complete experience,” He explained for “Adevărul” Ana Maria Gherasim, director of an agency.
According to her, the 5 most sought after destinations for organizing the wedding in an exotic destination are: Maldives-for absolute romance, white beaches and intimacy; Bali – due to the spirituality of the place and the Balinese symbolic ceremonies; Dominican Republic – for all inclusive packages and tropical decor; Mauritius – an elegant and exotic choice, with premium services; Zanzibar – a combination of culture, adventure and story landscapes.
“Romanians are very attentive to details when it comes to a wedding organized abroad. Most want a symbolic ceremony on the beach, in a spectacular natural setting, without the stress of classical organization.”said Ana Maria Gherasim for “truth”.

Asked what are the favorite destinations for the honeymoon and what are the average costs, Gherasim said that the most desired destinations remain those that combine romance with unique experiences: Maldives, Seychelles, Dominicana Republic, Malaysia, Jamaica or various combinations of countries in Asia.
An average package starts from 900 euros in Europe and can reach 1,500 – 4000 euros/person, in exotic destinations, depending on the season and the chosen resort.
Thus, 9 nights at a 4* resort in Mauritius starts from 1,703 euros/person and includes international flights, transfers, accommodation, B&B regime, an activity included (a full day – meeting with dolphins in natural habitat, visit to the famous crystal rock and relaxation on the island of Benitiers).

In Mauritius, the grooms can participate in a ritual of purification with flowers and holy water, and in Hawaii, some choose the exchange of “lei” and traditional prayers. In the Dominican Republic, the beach ceremonies are organized with bashat rhythms and authentic tropical decorations, while in Seychelles, the brides can include in the ritual elements and local dances.
