“It has been discussed over time about the so-called performance payment, which exists in most countries of the European Union, less in Romania, Bulgaria and more country. Payment on performance refers to an additional and practical payment, if it can be said plastic, of doctors to perform more complex surgery in the public hospital. Surgical, 50 patients were transferred to other health unit, although they could be resolved in the health unit where they presented themselves ”, said Alexandru Rogobete on Sunday, at Antena 3 CNN, writes News.

He also explained why this happens.

“Because the system at present does not stimulate performance and does not stimulate the sanitary units of municipal or city rank to solve patients in that health unit and then it is certain that it is much more comfortable, especially at night or a weekend, to transfer a patient to an emergency county or with university hospital”, the Minister of Health said.

Rogobete said that it does not refer to complicated cases that require an extended medical team and then the transfers are justified.

“I am not absurd now, when we talk about serious surgical or medical complications that require an extended medical team Multidisciplinary for sure that the transfers are justified, but it is not justified to transfer, for example, an appendicitis to a university hospital, especially if in the hospital where the patient has a surgeon, you have an operating room, anesthetist, you have medicines and all the infrastructure necessary to solve this patient ”, said Rogobete.
