Visitors who hunt the perfect picture with the phone in exhibitions are today a constant of museums and art galleries. Art Safari, the most beloved event dedicated to art in Romania, launches an atypical invitation: a break from screens and a real experience with art.
In the week of visiting July 17-20 (Thursday-Sunday), Art Safari proposes to the visitors a digital disconnection and a reconnection with art, suggesting to enjoy works really-without photographs, without stories, without notifications. The art viewed face to face, not through the phone’s room.
We spend an average of 3H43-45 on the phone, the global studies show, and we only give 20 minutes when we visit a museum. In most museums and art galleriesvisitors spend only 15 seconds in front of a work.
“When you were the last time you were 100% in an art exhibition, without sitting with your phone in your hand, without looking for the perfect angle for Story, without thinking about how many likes you will receive? I would like to challenge you to come to Art Safari without a phone or at least hold it in your bag, in your pocket, during the visit. Do not take pictures of the works, do not post them, but just spend a few minutes without a phone in front of the works. What will they send you then? Let’s try to look at the works of art with our eyes, not through the phone lens. Let’s try together to reduce this very close relationship we have with mobile phones ”, declares Ioana Ciocan, Managing Partner Art Safari.
This is not a prohibition, but a conscious choice proposed to the public by art Safari.

Last days of visit – this edition ends on July 27!
