Admission to high school. Over 3,400 candidates remained unrestricted. When the second stage takes place

Gymnasium graduates who supported the National Assessment 2025 found out on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, on what place they were assigned to high school. The procedure was performed computerized, based on the average of admission and completed options. Over 3,400 candidates remained unrestricted. The average of the options per candidate was 22.22.

UPDATE 97.02% of candidates were assigned

The Ministry of Education and Research published on Wednesday, July 23 (11:00), on the website admitre.edu.ro, the results of the computerized distribution in the high school education of the eighth-grade graduates who supported the National Assessment (EN VIII).

“They were distributed computerized at this stage 112,196 students (97.02%) of the total students (115,638) with completed options. Of these, 48,912 candidates for admission (43.6%) were admitted to the first option. In total, 2,569,525 options were completed, resulting in an average of 22.22/student. level as in the previous year) ”, stated the Ministry of Education and Research, in a press release. At the level of the whole country, 3,442 (2.98%) graduates remained unrestricted, and the total number of free places 6.606.

Prior to the computerized distribution, about 20,000 Elei were admitted to high school, as follows:

  • 13,452 students in vocational specializations;
  • 816 students in the military vocational specializations;
  • 3,027 students on the places reserved for Roma students;
  • 2,021 students on CES reserved places – mass education.

Another 16,675 high school graduates have registered in vocational education, MEC states.

Over 150,000 high school graduates have taken the national evaluation exam 2025 on the basis of which the admission to the desired high school takes place. After finding the result of the written evidence from the National Assessment, the graduates accompanied by parents/legal tutors completed the options for admission to the high school, the importance of the correct and complete completion of the options being decisive so that the student does not remain unrepertized. Finding the result of the distribution is a moment expected with great emotions, especially in big cities, where competition for a place in high schools is fierce.

The results of the computerized distribution are displayed today, July 23, 2025. The list of unoccupied places in high school will also be displayed in the secondary school.

Tomorrow, July 24, 2025, and until July 29, 2025, is the period reserved for submitting the registration files to the schools to which the candidates were assigned.

On July 29, the list of free places in high school will be published again, which also includes the remaining places following the non -procurement of the candidates admitted at this stage of admission.

On July 30 and August 1, the County Admission/Municipality of Bucharest is resolved, the special situations published according to the computerized distribution stage.

Calendar of the second stage of admission to high school

For students who were not assigned to high school in the first stage of distribution, or who did not submit the registration file, the second distribution stage is a new opportunity. Here is the calendar of the second stage of admission in high school education:

– August 1, 2025 – the situation of the remaining free places, including those for Roma candidates and candidates with CES, is displayed at the Center for Admission Center. Also now the place of development and the graph of aptitude tests or of verifying the knowledge of modern or maternal language are displayed;

– August 4, 2025 – registration of candidates for aptitude tests or tests for verifying modern or maternal language knowledge, including candidates on special places for Roma and candidates for places allocated distinctly to CES candidates in mass education units;

– August 5-6, 2025- conducting the aptitude tests or of the tests of verification of the knowledge of modern or maternal language;

– August 7-8- displaying the results at the aptitude tests or the tests of verification of the modern or maternal language knowledge and the resolution of the appeals;

-August 11-13-Receiving the applications for registration of the candidates who were distributed computerized in the first stage of admission, but who did not submit their registration files, of the candidates who were rejected at the high schools/classes that organized aptitude tests or to verify the knowledge of the modern language or to the The computerized distribution stage, however, for various reasons, were not distributed computerized, including the candidates on special places for Roma and the candidates for distinct places allocated to CES candidates in mass education units.

– receiving the applications for registration of the eighth-grade graduates who did not support the National Assessment.

-August 18-19, 2025-the distribution of the candidates who were registered for the second stage of admission. The distribution is made by the county admission commission/ of the municipality of Bucharest. The distribution takes place according to a procedure established by the county commission, published on the IȘJ/IȘMB website;

– August 19, 2025 – Transmission to the National Center for Admission of the Distribution Results by confirming the conclusion of the specific operations in the centralized computer application
