“About the situation of ANAF, the behavior of the ANAF inspectors, the way in which ANAF acts centrally, but also in the territory, I spoke a lot. ANAF abuses are not new things”said the Minister of Finance at Digi24.
He stated that “from the moment of hearing in the Parliament he appealed to ANAF that, no matter how big the collection issues are, not to abuse, not to exaggerate, not to start the fines hunting to the taxpayer, only to do its duty, but to do the right job.”
“In addition to this signal I gave from the hearing, I gave them some signals from the moment, of course, the management of ANAF was changed, after which the anti-fraud was no more migrated to the counties with additional costs, it remained at the regional level, where it is the place, because we do not have the same anti-fraud activity in each county. They left 9 out of 15 and then I changed the management of the anti -fraud at the central level, where out of 31 people left 21. So the management was completely changed ”he said.
He added that “The fact that ANAF is dysfunctional is something I talked about from the beginning, from the first day, from the hearing.”
“If we do not recognize that ANAF is dysfunctional, if we do not recognize the fact that there was no authentic desire to reform the institution, to collect more, that we are much, not below the European average, below the average of our region, below the central-European average we are … Authentic desire to do digitization ”said Alexandru Nazare.
Nazare emphasized that a contract for ANAF digitization has talented more time so now, “Many of the digitalization reforms are not ready. (…) It is normal to be syncope. We are still in the early stage of digitalization, we have drawn the base, but there is much work. We complete the digitization only in December next year.”
The reaction comes after Dragoș Anastasiu organized, on Sunday, a conference announcing its resignation as Deputy Prime Minister, against the background of public and political pressure generated by its disclosures in an corruption file regarding the bribery of an ANAF function between 2009-2017.

He urged them to raise their voice and not accept what everyone were forced to accept, including making mistakes.
