Radu Miruță, USR Minister of Economy, sent a firm message following the accusations in the press and on social networks, according to which he would replace “Sineciuştii“With people close to the party.”False. Completely false“, Said Miruță, emphasizing that such statements come”Only out of fear of the quarrels with school but connected to the state money that honest and competent people come over them”.

Provisional appointments, on criteria of competence

The minister explained that all the appointments made by him in the board of directors are provisional and respect the legal framework: “None of the allowance greater than 3,000 lei. I am temporary and I am obliged by law to appoint from the pen until the competitions on a complete mandate. We do not block the activity of the companies, but we do not perpetuate the old practices”.

Radu Miruță announced that he is working on the system reform, because “The performance rules should be clear, the competitions are real, and the transparent results”. He also stressed that the selection was made exclusively on the basis of CVs, not political membership: “I searched people with real experience, from the ministry or from the private environment, and I chose professionals who can deliver results.”

Concrete examples of appointments

The minister has provided examples to support the selection criteria used. At Craiova aircraft, where the monthly remuneration is 2,700 lei, it was called “A man who has been a superior aircraft pilot, former Vice President NATO, former president of the SIE committees and defense in the Parliament. Fixed what you need”.

Also in the Board of Directors were brought “Great private company, Pricewaterhouse consultant, KPMG consultant, ladies with economic and public administration”.

To IOR, appointments from the ministry, not from the USR

Miruță firmly rejected the accusation that he would be called personal advisers to the IOR: “I didn’t name any personal counselor, as it was fake. I named for a few weeks, until the contest, people with economic experience of a life in the ministry they lead, without any connection with the USR and who have never been used”.

The minister explained that among them are “A competent economist, USR member and local councilor in Dobroești, who wants to contribute honestly to the good of the community”. In his opinion, political affiliation does not cancel professional competence: “I have never supported the Self, but the professionals. And in the USR we have competent people, as I hope there are good people in all parties”.

A deep reform commitment

Miruță said that he will remain “open, honest and respectful“, Promising that these provisional appointments are just a first step towards a deep change of the system:”I did not come to cosmetize the system, but to transform it. And I trust that we can do that. Together”.

In conclusion, the minister wanted to specify that he will not be intimidated by attacks or false information launched in the public space: “I know I will be more and more attacked, that there will be many inventions about myself, but that does not stop me from doing what I said – better for us all”.
