“I read the position and claims of the unions in the education system very carefully. Incorrect to believe that it is not difficult for me to apply them and that I do not understand the created discomfort ”, said Daniel David on Thursday, July 31, in a press release.
The minister stressed that all fiscal-budgetary measures must protect the positions of the teachers and their salaries, while maintaining within the limits of economic rationality and decency. In this regard, the ministry recently put in public consultation the subsequent norms of the law, in order to receive constructive proposals from the personnel in the system.
“It is possible that, in these first versions, I and my team have not seen other applicable solutions. After we exceed this crisis – many measures being temporary – we will be able to rethink things (as we have proposed in the QX report),” said the minister.
Daniel David also sent a personal message, in which he expressed his frustration towards the current state of the education system, but also the decision to remain in office to find solutions, not to avoid responsibility.
“Honestly and directly said, looking at the results of our education system (eg: functional illiteracy, school dropout), and I often have the impulse to request resignation in various areas of influence in our system, but I do not do it – I know that we have to work together to save us (and then to build for better ones – I know that – I know that – I know that – I know that –
“I came to help, not to confuse. I did not follow and do not pursue a political career, I served as a specialist-technocrat our country in two mandates related to two critical moments, namely the political crisis, respectively the fiscal-budgetary crisis of this second term. Member of the Government – is to save the system from autumn and through this, along with the reforms in the other fields/systems, and the country. the minister concludes.
The federations of the educational unions demand the resignation of the Minister of Education Daniel David, who accuses him of “hit in the education system and his employees, some of these statements being even diversionary”. In this sense, these days are protests of teachers.
