«Inability to pay», «Recession», «misery»… I suggest a different attitude in public of a responsible man of state, who recognizes the problem, but does not dramatize it ”, Budăi wrote on Facebook.
“Calm, authority and trust”
According to the former minister, “A responsible man of state“Offers the Romanians “A concrete plan of measures, announces transparent collaboration with international institutions, transmits calm, authority and trust.”
Buddha publishes and a sample of soothing speech for Romanians, on his criteria, in which he states that “We are in a difficult time, but not at a point without return.”
“Romania is not in danger of inability to pay, and the Government respects all its commitments”
Buddha publishes and a sample of dialogue – on his criteria – with the Romanians, in which he states that “We are at a difficult time, but not at a point without return”:
“Dear Romanian citizens,
Romania, like many other European states and not only, are facing a difficult economic period, in which the pressures on the budget are real. The budget deficit has increased, and the financing interest is at higher levels than we would like. We are in a difficult time but not at a point without return. We have resources, partners and the will to rectify the direction.
We are aware of these challenges and we do not minimize them. This is why the government is already working on a plan of fiscal and administrative measures that will be applied in several stages and will ensure the sustainability of long -term public finances.
We will reduce the inefficient expenses, increase the degree of tax collection and simplify the fiscal system to encourage investments and economic development.
In parallel, we continue the close dialogue with our European partners and international financial institutions to guarantee the country’s financial stability.
I want to be sure of one thing: Romania is not in danger of inability to pay, and the Government respects all its domestic and international commitments. We act with caution, transparency and responsibility.
We trust our ability to stabilize the economy and put Romania on a healthy tax trajectory. We will communicate constantly and honestly with the citizens, because only together can we go through this period.
Thank you!”, Budăi wrote in his example of a message for Romanians.
