Over one third of our exports are oriented towards the Romanian market, and the economies of the two states are increasingly interconnected: about 1,700 Romanian companies operate in the Republic of Moldova, while over 8,000 companies with Moldovan capital operate in Romania, generating a turnover of over three billion euros and supporting over 20,000 jobs ”.

Discussions with Dorin Recean

On the same day, the prime minister of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, had a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart, assuring that new bridges between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, sister countries united by language, history and common values ​​will be built. At the same time, the head of the Bucharest Government stressed that Romania will continue to firmly support the European course of the Republic of Moldova, offering expertise and cooperation through bilateral and European mechanisms.

We know what European integration means because from Romania’s accession to the European Union in 2007, we have benefited from 100 billion euros from European funds and contributed with over 32 billion euros to the European budget.
