The Bulgarian authorities announced that on Friday, September 5, between 6.30-7.15, the traffic on the Giurgiu-Ruse friendship bridge will be suspended in both directions, the Border Police announces.

“The measure is necessary for the relocation of the installations for marking the section in repair and changing the band on which the following repairs will be carried out”, transmitted the border police.
The repair works are carried out below, and the road traffic is conducted alternatively, on a single tape.
“In order to avoid blockages or delays, we recommend drivers and transport companies to plan their routes effectively and consider the following alternative routes:
-Dolj: Calafat
-Teleorman: Zimnicea, Turnu Măgurele
-Călărași: Calarasi
-Constanța: Vama Veche, Ostrov, Negru Voda, Lipnița, Dobromir”, The border police said.
The Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police Giurgiu acts, in cooperation with the Romanian Police and the Border Police in Bulgaria, for the efficient management of road traffic in the border area.
“We recommend to all traffic participants: Respect the signals and indications of the police; wear the seat belt; keep the safety distance from the front vehicle; drive prudent; inform yourself from official sources,” the police have also transmitted.
