“I think that the school year started well. There were various previous discussions, various threats, various things stated in public space, in the end, on the first day of school, all the children who went to school were received in schools and over half of the school units, although it was not a mandatory thing, they also organized festivities.
On the second day, the courses were held normally in the vast majority of school units. I think I had 1.8% of the total school units with legal personality, around 5,700, in which there is a certain form of boycot ”, said the minister, invited on Saturday, September 13, in a show at Digi24.
Regarding the actions of the teachers, David explained that the most common form of protest consisted in the simple presence of teachers in the classroom, without carrying out the didactic activity.
Asked if the teachers initiated steps to a strike, the minister replied that he had no information about such steps.
“According to me, the solution must be different, especially since, I repeat, the vast majority, 98, something percent, in 98%, over 98% of the school units, the educational system works. The question is what we do with these dissatisfaction. We start thinking about the budget next year ”, added Daniel David.
