FIFA sanctioned the Romanian Football Federation for “racist or discriminatory behavior of fans, for not applying safety rules, for lighting pyrotechnic materials and for gestures or chants that convey an inappropriate message for a football event”writes Mundo Deportivo.
The main objective of the tricolors
In November, Romania will play the last two matches of the World Cup qualifiers: one away, in Bosnia, and the other at home, in Ploiesti, against San Marino.
The main goal of the team is to finish second in the group, a position that would bring important advantages in the draw of the play-off matches.
However, regardless of the results of these two matches, Romania has already secured the place in the play-offs, thanks to the fact that it won the group in the League of Nations.
