Well-known television presenter and motoring journalist Quentin Willson, whose name was identified for years with the famous show Top Gear, has died at the age of 68.

The TV star died after a short battle with lung cancer, according to The Independent.
His family confirmed that Willson died peacefully on Saturday, describing him as a “true national treasure” that brought the joy of motoring into people’s living rooms.
Quentin Willson was, alongside Jeremy Clarkson, one of the original presenters of the BBC’s Top Gear motoring show before taking over Fifth Gear.
The famous TV personality created and presented shows such as Britain’s Worst Drivers and The Car’s The Star and took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2004.
Beyond TV, Willson has been a dedicated consumer advocate, supporting campaigns such as FairFuel to freeze fuel duty and FairCharge to make electric vehicles affordable.
