Emil Rengle and Alejandro Fernandez are getting married: “I want to introduce him completely into our culture.” When your event was taking place

After the intense adventure of Asia Express, Emil Rengle and Alejandro Fernandez are preparing for the big step. The two have already set plans for the summer of 2027 and promise a memorable wedding, held in two stages, at home and abroad.

Emil Rengle and Alejandro Fernandez participated in Asia Express 2025 together, and the challenges of the show, the artist admits, brought them even closer. In an interview, Rengle recounts how the adventure in Asia strengthened their relationship, even though other couples have broken up after such competitions.

“After we got engaged, shortly after the invitation to “Asia Express” came and we said: “Well, if we pass this test, this test of life, it means that we are really made for each other and we can make a good team”. And so we took the experience and that really happened. It was like fast forward therapy, we got to know each other through the good and the bad, in some situations that you would not normally experience. And, as a conclusion, I think we are much stronger than we were before“, said Rengle for Libertatea.

The wedding, already planned for the summer of 2027

Asked about the upcoming wedding, the dancer and choreographer revealed that the date is set and the plans are clear. The two want an event abroad, where the marriage is legal, and a large celebration in Romania.

We are having the wedding in 2027, in the summer! Because now, if we wanted for next summer, we don’t have time. I mean, please, it would, but… We know what we want to do! We will have two events. One with close family, somewhere abroad, where it’s legal to get married. And in Romania, because it is not legal and we have no rights, we will have a huge wedding, so that all of Romania knows that there is a gay wedding in the country. With all the stars, with all the influencers, with all the friends… I think that the event will be publicized by itself!”, explained Rengle.

The artist says that he wants the wedding organized in Romania to be one deeply anchored in Romanian traditions, so that Alejandro can know and feel our culture.

I want, at this wedding in Romania, to introduce Alejandro completely to our culture. I want it to be with Romanian folk dances, to eat sarmale, that is, I want to… His family should come to the gate to mine, because that’s how it’s done. I’m Romanian here, I’m waiting for the man to come and pick me up, to ask for me at the gate! After that we go to the wedding and throw something… I’m afraid that someone will steal it from me, because he is an absolutely wonderful man. It was given to us to love each other even more”the artist also said.

The two are determined to transform the event into a celebration of love and diversity, and by 2027 their plans are taking shape.
