How much was the gas bill for Iulia Albu this winter: “Is it a joke?”

The cold wave of the last few days brought not only low temperatures, but also increasing utility bills. Even the stars say they are put in difficulty by the amounts they have to pay, and Iulia Albu attracted attention with a bill considered huge for gas.

Iulia Albu revealed on Instagram, in a story, that at the beginning of 2026 she has to pay no less than 3,600 lei for gas. Her reaction was one of amazement, clearly expressed in the message posted online: “Your gas bill is 3,600 ron… Is it a joke?”.

The post sparked backlash from followers, many of whom were facing similar issues around this time.

Other stars are also complaining about the ever-increasing bills

The situation is not unique. About a month before, Saveta Bogdan was also talking about the difficulties created by a very high electricity bill. In December 2025, the artist said that she had to pay almost 700 lei.

My house is cold in winter, I live in an older block on Calea Moșilor. Here every year they turn off our hot water. But the radiators are only lukewarm. Therefore, I plug in a radiator to keep me warm, especially when I take a bath, so that I don’t catch a cold. Last year I had 300 lei as my current payment, now I have about 700 lei, so more than double. At the moment I have no money, I will pay after I get my pension in January. Now I spent the money to make some food for the Holidays myself“, said Saveta Bogdan for Click!.

Oana Lis: “We will end up staying in the dark”

Also last year, in September, Oana Lis drew attention to the increase in electricity prices, after receiving an invoice of 550 lei. She explained that her husband’s medical condition made it impossible to reduce his consumption.

I received the electricity bill for 550 lei. Being Viorel Lis cardiac, I had to let him breathe, he was suffocating. I don’t like air conditioning, but I went for it. The rest, what’s there: the fridge and light bulbs. We will end up sitting in the dark. For some pensioners it’s sad. These prices… And it’s not something you can give up, like meat every day, for example”Oana Lis wrote on Facebook.
