The former president of ANPC, Horia Constantinescu, made public, on Facebook, an exchange of messages that he describes as “hallucinating” between his son and other young men who allegedly threatened him for being “upset” the girlfriend of one of them. Against the background of the recent crime in Timiș County, Constantinescu says that such episodes show how dangerous the reality we live in has become and announces that he has already filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office.
“Please watch the hallucinatory dialogue between my son, the one writing in blue, and another young man or two young men who threaten him for allegedly ‘bothering’ the girlfriend of one of them”wrote Horia Constantinescu in his post.
He draws attention to the fact that the situation is all the more serious as it comes against the background of a recent tragedy: “Against the background of the recent tragedy in Timiș county, such situations show how alarming reality has become that we live. In one of the photos, you will see the two young men, in front of the mirror, holding a knife in their hands.”
The former head of ANPC says that he cannot comment on such behavior and that he decided to immediately contact the authorities: “It is difficult to comment on such an attitude. Today, immediately after learning about these facts, I filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office.”

Appeal to the authorities: “I sincerely hope they intervene firmly”
In his message, Horia Constantinescu also makes a public appeal to the authorities, asking for firm measures to prevent further tragedies: “I sincerely hope that, through the measures that will be taken both in the case of the crime in Timiș and in similar situations, the authorities will intervene firmly to prevent other dramatic episodes and to deter violent, extremely dangerous behaviours”.
The post comes in the context of the crime in Cenei, Timiș county, where a teenager, Mario Berinde, was killed by other minors. Two 15-year-old teenagers are being remanded in custody: one is charged with aggravated murder and desecration of corpses, and the other with desecration of corpses and favoring the perpetrator.
The crime happened on the evening of January 19, 2026, around 9:30 p.m. According to investigators, the 15- and 13-year-old boys called Mario to the house of the youngest of them, under the pretext that they wanted to show him a new ATV. The victim came with a scooter. Once there, the 15-year-old would have hit him with the axe, and the 13-year-old with the knife.
Later, the two involved a third 15-year-old minor to get rid of the body. Investigators say they first tried to set the body on fire, then buried him naked in a previously dug hole in the garden of the 13-year-old’s home, with his head wrapped in a jacket. The act would have been premeditated about a month before. Mario Berinde was buried on Saturday in his hometown.
