After Cristi Chivu carried the Olympic torch through Milan, the atmosphere was maintained by another spectacular appearance: Zlatan Ibrahimovic attended the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. The former Swedish star was among the special guests who officially kicked off the competition.
The event brings to Italy more than 3,500 athletes from almost 100 countries, who will fight for more than two weeks for the 195 medals at stake in 16 disciplines.

The Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games, where Romania is participating with 29 athletes, officially start tonight, from 21:00 Romanian time. Although there will be four opening ceremonies, the central moment will take place at the ‘San Siro’ stadium, home of Serie A leaders Inter and AC Milan.
