The University of Craiova drew 2-2 with FCSB on Thursday evening, in Bănie, and goes, with 7 points, to the quarter-finals from the first place in Group B, together with Gloria Bistrița (6 points). Olten and Bucharest will meet again on Sunday evening, at 20:00, at the same stadium, in the 27th stage of the Super League.
The match in Bănie was opened by Adrian Rus’ goal in the 10th minute. The guests equalized through striker Daniel Bîrligea in the 17th minute. After the break, both scored once more. Craiova scored first, in the 54th minute, through Florin Ștefan, and FCSB scored in the 65th minute – through David Popa.

In the match against the domestic championship leader, the defending champions used an experimental team formula, resting several starters for the three-plus day game.
FC Dinamo București and FC Hermannstadt qualified, on Thursday evening, for the quarter-finals of the Romanian Football Cup, after the team from the capital won 2-0 (0-0) in front of Sibiu, at the Arc de Triumf Stadium, in Group D.
After a weak first half, Dinamo controlled the game after the break and scored twice, following corners, through Cătălin Cîrjan (48) and Raul Opruț (60), also having a bar, through Mamoudou Karamoko (54).
The lighthouse put on a show
Farul, with many juniors, outclassed the second league team CS Dinamo with a score of 4-0, in Buftea, but the victory remains one of the best. Jovan Markovic achieved a hat-trick (28, 48, 64), the other goal for the guests being scored by Iustin Doicaru (43).
In another match, FC Botoșani beat the second-tier team Concordia 3-2, in Chiajna, thanks to goals scored by Djibril Diaw (22), Ștefan Bodișteanu (51) and Alexandru Cîmpanu (55). Claudiu Bălan (25) and Aurelian Ciuciulete (67) scored for Ilfoveni.

In the elimination stages, U Cluj will meet Hermannstadt, and Metalul Buzău will have a duel with Dinamo.
FC Argeș will face Gloria Bistrița, while CFR Cluj will play against Craiova University.
The quarter-final stage is scheduled to take place around March 4, 2026.
