Season 3 of the show “Power Couple” from Antena 1 ended with a tense finale, full of defining moments, in which physical resistance and the strength of relationships were put to the test to the extreme. The big winners of the trophy and the cash prize are Oase and Maria Pitică, after a spectacular confrontation with Simona and Marius Urzică.
The host of the show, Dani Oțil, opened the decisive test with an emotional speech: “Together we laughed, we cried, we remembered things, but the most important thing is that we resisted. My dears, you will carry, as in life, some baggage: memories, wishes, dreams, hopes, small problems of life. Weights are symbolized by gold bars, and the couple who endures the most up there wins.”
The finalists were raised on a platform and subjected to an extreme simulation of the seasons – strong wind, cold rain, alternating temperatures. Gold bars were added to their luggage, increasing the physical and mental pressure.
The first to give in were Sandra Izbașa and Răzvan Bănică, ranked third.
The gesture that impressed the whole country
The moment of the evening was Răzvan Bănică’s decision to stop the test to protect his wife, visibly exhausted.
“I love you with all my heart, money never mattered to us! Love matters. I don’t want to see you suffer for anything in the world. Nothing matters more in this world than her health, than her safety. There was no way I was holding a suitcase of money seeing as the love of my life was the way it was. It’s not worth it!”
The gesture was applauded on set and online. “Hats off”the fans wrote, and the emotions were so strong that the reactions in the studio were visibly marked.
The final duel: Oase & Maria vs. the nettle family
The big confrontation took place between Oase and Maria Pitică and Simona and Marius Urzică. The determination was taken to the extreme.
“Effectively you couldn’t control your body anymore”, Simona Urzică described the sample.
“All these seasons have been an ordeal,” said Marius Urzica.
In a moment of balance, the dialogue between the two showed the huge pressure:
“Can you do it, mom? Tell me if you can’t do it anymore”Marius said.
“not really”she admitted.
“come on mommy hold on” the gymnast tried to convince her.
The ending was dramatic. Simona, exhausted, begged her husband to stop the test, and Marius finally gave in. The decision sparked strong reactions on social media.
A harsh comment went viral: “You can be the champion of champions, if your wife is crying next to you and you tell her to go on, you’re rubbish…”
But others defended him: “For me, they are the real “Power Couple”… Marius showed us the mentality of a champion tonight.”
The criticism continued: “Marius, leave your pride and learn to lose when you see that the woman you love can no longer!”.
Simona Urzică’s reply
In the face of the wave of comments, Simona intervened publicly: “Dear people, I have seen many comments in which harsh words are thrown at my husband, Marius Urzică, and I feel the need to write you a few lines… The truth is simple: Marius loves and respects me, and that is not in doubt. The final was a difficult one. I had reached a point where I felt that I could no longer physically and I begged him to stop. However, he said “just a little more”, not out of malice, not out of pride and neither because he doesn’t care about me, but because that’s the mentality of a champion – to fight to the end, even when it seems impossible… We know what’s between us, and that’s what matters most. Please just try to understand before you judge…”

In the end, Oase and Maria Pitică resisted the most and lifted the trophy “Power Couple Romania” 2026, proving that the balance between ambition and mutual support can make a difference.
