Cher’s son arrested after incident at elite US private school

Elijah Blue Allman, the son of the legendary artist Cher, was arrested after allegedly causing a scandal at an elite private school in New Hampshire, where he trespassed.

Elijah Blue Allman, the son of the artist Cher and the late musician Gregg Allman, was arrested during the evening of Friday, February 27, after allegedly causing a scandal in an elite private educational institution in the United States of America.

According to police in Concord, New Hampshire, 49-year-old Elijah Blue Allman was taken into custody after exhibiting aggressive behavior on the premises of St. Paul’s School, a prestigious boarding school, with which he had no connection.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., when the authorities were alerted by calls reporting the presence of an uninvited man who was disturbing people in the campus dining hall. Witnesses reported that he was behaving hostilely and causing a disturbance, which led to the rapid intervention of the police.

After arriving at the scene, the police identified Elijah Blue Allman and detained him, later filing several charges, notes apnews.

Specifically, he is charged with two counts of assault, trespassing and menacing. Authorities also charged him with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor punishable under New Hampshire law but not a felony.

Elijah Blue Allman was transported to the Merrimack County Detention Center, where he was booked, but later released on bond. No information about an attorney representing him was available in court records.

The representatives of the artist Cher did not offer a point of view immediately after the incident, and the management of St. Paul’s School declined to comment on the incident. Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that all the circumstances of the incident are being looked into.

Problems with drug use

The incident comes amid personal difficulties that Allman has been dealing with for several years, with substance abuse issues and episodes of erratic behavior.

In 2023, his mother, Cher, filed for legal guardianship over her son’s estate, citing serious concerns about his safety and ability to manage his life and finances. However, the procedure was withdrawn in 2024, after the family reached a private agreement.

Authorities are continuing their investigations to establish all the details of the incident, and Elijah Blue Allman is scheduled to appear in court to answer the charges against him.
