The wife of the owner of Rapid, a message for those who ask for the help of the state in the crisis in Dubai: “Do we have to pay for their unconsciousness?”

An indispensable presence in Giulesti, at Rapid team matches, Diana Șucu (50 years old), the wife of Dan Șucu (62 years old), the majority shareholder of Rapid and patron of Genoa, is also active in the online environment, where she had a message for the Romanians involved in the crisis in the Middle East and who are unhappy that they paid for their return tickets themselves.

Romanians repatriated from the Middle East protested at the airport and on social networks that the Romanian state did not help them with tickets on the way home, after the outbreak of the war.

They went on holiday ignoring all the warnings and news of danger. And now we have to pay for their unconsciousness?

Public money is not for the fun and mistakes of people who chose to ignore reality. There must be accountability“, wrote Diana Șucu, on InstaStory.

After the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East, commercial flights were suspended due to security risks and airspace closures. Thousands of tourists were stranded in the region. European countries, including Romania, have started repatriation operations for their citizens. Official data shows that around 3,000 Romanians have requested help for repatriation, while the total number of Romanians in the region is estimated at around 16,000 – most of them residents in the United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern states.
