The Mercedes drivers put on a show at the Albert Park street circuit in Melbourne, managing to take the first two positions in the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, the first stage of the season.
George Russell started from pole position and led the race from start to finish, closely followed by his teammate Kimi Antonelli. The two gradually separated from the rest of the platoon, demonstrating a clear superiority.
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton took third and fourth place, while reigning world champion Lando Norris finished fifth. An extra point for Racing Bulls rookie Arvid Lindblad, who broke into the top 10 and impressed with his development.
The next stage will take place on March 15 in China at the Shanghai circuit, where all drivers will try to continue the fight for the podium.
