The woman who fired multiple shots at Rihanna’s home has been arrested. The bullets hit the artist’s home while she and her family were inside

The woman who fired several shots at the Los Angeles residence of the famous singer Rihanna was identified and arrested. At the time of the incident, the artist was at home with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three children.

Los Angeles police have identified Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Florida, as the person suspected of opening fire on singer Rihanna’s residence. The woman was arrested on charges of attempted murder, according to information provided by the local NBC affiliate.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, around 1:30 p.m. local time, in the residential neighborhood of Beverly Crest, where the artist lives with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect fired between seven and nine shots from a car and at least four bullets hit the star’s property, causing material damage.

The front gate of the residence had multiple bullet holes, and investigators also examined an Airstream camper parked in the driveway in front of the residence that may also have been hit by projectiles.

Arrested shortly after the attack

Authorities say the woman was alone in a white Tesla at the time of the incident. She was located and arrested at a nearby shopping center about 30 minutes after the attack.

The suspect was jailed and the court set bail at $10 million. Police said the weapon used was an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

According to police, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and their three children were inside the home when the shots were fired, but no one was injured.

For now, the investigators have not determined the reason for the attack, and the representatives of the two artists have not offered an official point of view.

Rihanna, the nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist known for hits like “Umbrella,” has been in a relationship with A$AP Rocky since 2020. The two have three children together — two boys and a girl — born in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
