Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban paid tribute to actor Chuck Norris, who died aged 86, posting the message “goodbye my friend” alongside images from a meeting in which the American actor compared him to Donald Trump.
The footage, filmed in November 2018 in Budapest, captures the moment when Norris was invited by Orbán to visit an anti-terrorist unit in Hungary.
In the recording, the Hungarian Prime Minister tells the actor that “he’s basically a street fighter, they don’t come from the elite.”
During the visit, Orban presented the special unit as being “the toughest”and the demonstrations provided by them were appreciated by the American actor, writes Politico.
“I’ve seen training all over the world, and this is the best demonstration I’ve seen.” said Chuck Norris.
Also in that discussion, Orban referred to public perception of himself, stating: “90% of the comments about me are negative…liberals hate me“.
Norris intervened and compared him to US President Donald Trump: “You’re like Trump,” the actor told him.
“A little more than that!”replied Orban.
