Three SOS Romania deputies, sanctioned with a reduction in allowance after the vuvuzela scandal in the Plenary

Three deputies of the SOS Romania party will have their allowance reduced by 50% for a period of three months, as a result of the behavior adopted in the plenary session of the Parliament on March 11. That’s when President Nicusor Dan’s letter regarding the temporary deployment of American military equipment and forces to Romania was approved.

Natalia Intotero, the president of the meeting, announced on Monday that, based on the report of the legal commission, the permanent office decided to sanction deputies Nini Alexandru Pascalini, Andreea Petronela Cîmpianu and Elena Laura Toader for non-compliance with the parliamentary regulations. The three have 15 days from the notification of the decision to file appeals, informs Agerpres.

During the March 11 meeting, SOS Romania MPs shouted, booed, whistled and blew vuvuzelas, disrupting the debate. Consequently, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, put to a vote the suspension of the debates, a measure approved by the plenary.
