If you have a budget of several hundred euros and the willingness to leave on Easter, you can still find last-minute offers, both in the country and abroad.
The real last-minute deals, with less than a week left until the resort launch, are still available, with travel agencies and even hotels themselves still promoting them. The discounts are 5-10%, Romanians having a choice between traditional holidays in the country and foreign stays at competitive prices, some even significantly reduced compared to early booking offers.
Romania, the first option for traditional Easter
Domestic destinations remain the most sought after for Easter, especially the areas known for their traditions and gastronomy: Bucovina, Maramureș, Transilvania or Valea Prahova, but also the spa areas.
“There are places for Easter. At the moment, 60-70% of the accommodation units are occupied on average and there are places both in the mountain areas, in the traditional resorts of Maramureș, Bucovina, Sibiu, Valea Prahova, and in the spa areas, where the holidays are more luxurious, they are premium, with access to outdoor swimming pools, but with thermal, heated water, with festive dinners, with packages for children – egg hunts, coloring contests. And on the coast, this time, in 2026, we have included in some hotels and excursions, guided tours, with entrance to the casino in Constanța, put into use just last year, in the spring”stated the vice-president of the National Association of Travel Agencies, Adrian Voican.
Romanians’ consumption habits have changed, say the representatives of tour operators. Vacations are no longer bought in advance, even if it is about substantial discounts of 20-30%, but wait until the last moment, for last-minute offers. The prices on this date are still on offer, in many locations in the country.
A three-night stay in Sinaia, at a three-star hotel with breakfast, costs 900-1,000 lei, reduced from 1,100-1,200 lei, but can reach up to 3,500-4,000 lei at a four-star hotel, with spa, wellness and full program.
And in the spa resorts and in the traditional areas there are still offers, but also on the seaside. Prices on the coast start from 700-800 lei for three nights of accommodation, with breakfast, but can also reach 3,600 – 4,000 – 4,200 lei at four-star or five-star hotels, hoteliers including a visit to the casino in Constanța and other services.
What the country’s hoteliers offer, and this still makes them attractive, are: the festive dinner, the egg hunt, some hotels have included organized transport to the church on Easter night, the traditional dishes.
Bulgaria, still attractive
Although prices have increased in Bulgaria, the destination relatively close to home still remains attractive for Romanians. For Easter, you can also find offers here, with discounts of up to 10%, and the prices for three nights of accommodation, for two people instead, four-star hotel, ultra all inclusive, start from 500-600 euros and can reach and exceed 900 euros. There are also offers in Bulgaria that start from under 200 euros/3 nights/two people.
For those who prefer warmer temperatures or different experiences, travel agencies also heavily promote other foreign destinations. Among the most sought after are Egypt, but also Greece and Turkey or other destinations. Prices for foreign stays start from 399–645 euros/person for city breaks or vacations in Europe and can reach 680–739 euros/person for Egypt, all inclusive (the stay is however double in duration, 7 nights).
Offers are just a click away, some of them particularly tempting from a financial point of view, but tourists must be prepared for quick choices and limited availability.
Bulgaria and Turkey still remain the preferred choices of those who want an all-inclusive regime, Greece is a destination with varied options, including all-inclusive options, and Albania is also taken into account, with offers that offer only accommodation, or accommodation + breakfast and even all-inclusive options, so the offers must be studied carefully.
