Dinamo beat Rapid on Sunday evening, at the National Arena, in a match from the sixth stage of the Superliga play-off. The red and whites won 3-1, the Giulești goal coming at the end of the game.
The game quickly started with a big loss, the goalkeeper Aioani leaving injured after only three minutes of play. In his place came the unfortunate Adrian Briciu, only 18 years old, who is aware of the goal with which the hosts opened the scoring. Gheorghi Milanov scored in the 39th minute, when the ball headed by the Bulgarian at the corner executed by Danny Armstrong was dropped between the legs of the young goalkeeper. It was a beginner’s blunder by the goalkeeper of the Cherries, who should not be judged harshly considering that he is a beginner, literally.
Dinamo broke away after the break, with the goals scored by Cătălin Cîrjan (59), excellently launched by Alberto Soro, and by Alexandru Musi (71), with a superb shot, from an angle, on the short corner. The goal of honor for Giulești was scored by Daniel Paraschiv (88), from Andrei Borza’s pass. The “Dogs” had other opportunities through George Puşcaş (32, 36), Musi also missed with a lob from about 35 meters to a risky exit by Briciu (85), the Giulești goalkeeper getting revenge in the last minute, when he miraculously saved the opportunities of Cîrjan and Alexandru Pop.
Zeliko Kopic’s students, who had lost both games against Rapid in the regular season, registered their first victory in the championship against their rivals from Giulești after 11 years. The previous success date from April 11, 2015, when they won 2-0. The red and whites are undefeated for four stages in the Superliga play-off, having two draws and two victories. Rapid, on the other hand, is in decline, obtaining only one point in the last five stages, so it is expected that the coach Costel Gâlcă will resign or be fired.

There are many matches in which I didn’t bring them joy and that’s normal. Season it’s not lost, but it’s getting harder and harder. We have to look completely different. Like now, with Dinamo, we’ve never looked before.”said Costel Gâlcă after the game.
Dinamo remains on the 4th place in the ranking and hopes for the third position, which gives the opportunity to participate in the European cups. Instead, Rapid miss out on another play-off and will most likely stay at home in the next European season.
