Cuba Gooding Jr. attended an exclusive dinner organized in a restaurant on Lake Străulești, where the guests had a sophisticated menu, but also an unexpected artistic moment, offered by the Oscar-winning actor himself.
The American actor Cuba Gooding Jr., laureate of the Oscar for his role in Jerry Maguire, had an intense day in Bucharest, which ended with an exclusive dinner organized in a luxury restaurant located on the shore of Lake Străulești.
His visit included several important stops. On Wednesday, April 29, the actor was present at the construction site of the future “Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia” Pediatric Psychiatry Clinic, where he was accompanied by Codin Maticiuc, the initiator of the “Public Private Hospitals” project, and by Eduard Irimia, co-founder of the I Success Awards, then arriving at the Parliament, where he was greeted by the President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, and Senator Titus Corlățean.
The evening ended with an exclusive dinner attended by business and social guests, some of whom paid up to 500 euros for access to the event and to spend time in the company of the American actor.
The menu was refined, with elaborate dishes. The guests were served beef tartar with parmesan chips and Oscietra caviar, foie gras terrine with truffles and berry jelly, gold leaf shrimp and octopus carpaccio with yuzu sauce, according to Click!.
The main course included Argentinian beef tenderloin and lobster, along with side dishes of edamame and baby vegetables, and the dessert consisted of white chocolate with notes of green raspberry.
During the evening, Cuba Gooding Jr. spent a lot of time with Codin Maticiuc, showing interest in his projects in the medical field and initiatives dedicated to children. The actor praised the initiatives presented and carefully followed the details of the construction of the hospitals.
The event also included an artistic moment signed by Cătălin Botezatu, who presented a collection of evening dresses especially for the guests. Cuba Gooding Jr. received even more gifts, including a personalized Romanian Football Federation jersey with his name and number 10 on it.
One of the moments of the evening was the musical one, when Cezar Ouatu performed “O sole mio”, and Cuba Gooding Jr. spontaneously went on stage and sang with the artist, to the surprise of the guests. The atmosphere was maintained by applause and moments of relaxation, the actor joking and repeating the famous line from Jerry Maguire, “Show me the money!”.
