Intervention with a happy ending near Sighisoara: a bear cub was rescued on Thursday, May 7, after it got stuck in a tree. The gendarmes permanently secured the area to protect the citizens, given that there was a risk of the bear appearing nearby.
The intervention was carried out by a patrol from the Târgu Mureș Mobile Gendarmerie Group, which acted following a call to the single emergency number 112.
Arriving at the scene, the gendarmes found that it was a frightened bear cub, stuck in a tree, which could not come down safely.
According to the law, the intervention team was notified and the animal was taken down and taken safely by the competent authorities.

The authorities remind citizens that, in the case of observing wild animals near inhabited areas, it is important not to approach them, to avoid photographing them and to notify 112 immediately.
