A notebook with the message “#JeSuisBolo” became a star at the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair, held in Piața Unirii in Oradea, after attracting the attention of book lovers with its unusual design and visual reference to interim prime minister Ilie Bolojan.

On the cover appears an image of Piața Unirii in Oradea, next to a yellow border in which are drawn frowning eyebrows and a stern look, in a graphic style inspired by “Angry Birds”. The graphic elements are accompanied by the message “#JeSuisBolo”, which made it irresistible to many of the visitors.

We remind you that the phrase “#JeSuisBolo” was used at the support rallies for Ilie Bolojan organized before the vote of no-confidence motion in Parliament, after which the Bolojan Government was dismissed.

The idea, which belongs to the Bookbite publishing house from Oradea, proved to be an effective method of promotion at the fair’s stand, with the booklet initially being offered as a gift with purchases of at least 100 lei. Given the unexpected success and the large number of requests, the organizers decided to put it on sale, separately, at the price of 50 lei.

The representatives of the publishing house also promoted the product on social networks, announcing its availability during the event held between May 13 and 17 in Piața Unirii in Oradea.

“They can be praised or cursed, but not ignored. Ingenious people from Bookbite.ro.

The eyebrow that follows you everywhere… Congratulations, Florina Bucurean & co!”Teofil Stanciu wrote on Facebook.

Inside, the diary includes a text in popular speech, inspired by the well-known song “Wind blows from Orade”, performed by Florica Ungur. The lyrics refer to the book fair, the County Library, the construction sites in the city and the political episode in which the Bolojan Government was dismissed by a motion of censure, described metaphorically in the text as “fiction”.

The fragment preserves the original tone:

“The wind is blowing from Orade, what readers, I’m sorry! / The wind is blowing from art nouveau / Nealcoș center, I tell you! / He sent me a bad book / Until I passed to Orade, / I didn’t send it back / Because it’s a construction site at our place”, followed by: “No, yes, to see the library / Huge and flirtatious / And full of fiction / Like a certain motion”.

The notebook “#JeSuisBolo” was noticed by several visitors, who photographed the product and posted the images on social networks. Some of them described the initiative as ingenious and attractive.

Bookbite representatives stated that the diaries were initially thought of as promotional materials offered to customers, but public interest led to them being put on sale as well. By Friday afternoon, over 100 copies had been distributed, either as gifts or sold, and the publishing house still had stock available, notes Bihoreanul.
